CONNECT

We are unique in that we want to create connections with each other, with our friends and family in Haiti and with our local community. We strongly desire to connect the people Wilmington, North Carolina to the people in Bon Repos, Haiti.  In our attempts to do this, we have seen unexpected connections made and within our church, our community and across the nation.

Volunteers work an aid station for the Beach to Battleship Iron Distance Race
We recognize that not everybody has the desire or ability to travel to Haiti, but that many desire to help and connect in other ways. Throughout each year, we have many opportunities to serve and connect with our organization.

RACES
I love to race.  I especially love triathlons. Due to this love, I came across the opportunity to gather volunteers for races in exchange for a donation to ECHO Haiti.  Annually, we staff an aid station for the local Ironmnan and provide hundreds of volunteers for this event.  We also supply volunteers for the Wrightsville Beach Marathon, and Set Up Events Races.

Would you like to volunteer for a race event? Each position filled earns enough money to feed the entire orphanage for a day.   We have positions for all ages.  We even have climate controlled, indoor jobs.  Please email Jennifer Young at echohaitinc@gmail.com for upcoming events.

Yard Sale
We have a yard sale every Spring.  This is no normal yard sale.  We receive donations from our church family, friends and people in the community.  We transform the church parking lot into the ultimate rummage sale.  It may be the largest yard sale even in Wilmington.

If you would like to shop at our yard sale this year, please come for the pre-sale on April 21, 2017 from 5-7 or for the official sale on April 22, 2017 from 6:30am until 1pm.

If you would like to donate items for the yard sale, please email Tammy Bennett or Jennifer Young at echohaitinc@gmail.com

Quarter Auction
Like an item, then make a bid of one, two, three or four quarters.  This event is part auction, part raffle and a whole bunch of fun.
This year's quarter auction date will be announced soon.

Sewing
This year we had a sewing group.  We made shorts out of t-shirts and dresses and skirts out of pillow cases.  It was a wonderful opportunity to socialize, sew and get more people involved.  The shirts and shorts that were made were given away, by our children in the orphanage, at a medical clinic in the mountains.

Golf Tournament
Join us on May 20, 2017 for a great day of golf and fellowship.  Please visit the Events page for more information.  If you are not a golfer, but would like to be a sponsor, we would love to have you.  You can purchase a sign for $100 or $50 or donate door prize items or golfer award prizes.  Please contact Jen or Tammy at echohaitinc@gmail.com

Youth Experience
Many of the youth from our church have become involved with ECHO Haiti.  From their experiences, they decided to form a missions group at their local high school, host a Haiti Experience during their youth night at church and volunteer at races with us.  We are so thankful for this connection with our young people.
